The Sunday brunch here fills the gap between the $8 local brunch combos and $30 hotel brunches and offers a charming ambience and venue unique to the South End. Beginning at 11 a.m., Appetito's $19 brunches come with a mimosa and feature an ample buffet. The Italian dishes shine, such as marinated mushrooms, marinated shrimp and pasta. I also loved the smoked salmon and mixed fruit cobbler. French toast, sausages, bacon, etc., were all well prepared. (8/98)
